Volunteer for Friendsgiving 2024!

This Thanksgiving, Black Mamas Village is hosting a Friendsgiving event unlike any other—a gathering designed to offer warmth, culture, and connection to those who may experience the holiday differently. Whether due to being away or estranged from family, experiencing food insecurity, or being new to Austin, this event is for individuals and families seeking community, comfort, and celebration.

Our goal is to create an environment filled with dignity, culture, and care—one that moves beyond the traditional food pantry or soup kitchen model to embrace the spirit of togetherness. We need your help to make this vision a reality!
